This third book in the series continues the adventures of the hapless Stanley Hastings, unofficial private detective for a law firm specializing in tort cases. The book is written conversationally with a lighthearted underlying humor and is a quick read. There is something about the protagonist's viewpoint and his mental contortions that keep me coming back for more.Product details

Favor Stanley Hastings Mystery Book 3 eBook Parnell Hall Reviews
Entertains and keeps your interest, well worth the $, a good mystery with interesting characters - plenty of plot twists and turns, I enjoy Hall's books
Pretty far fetched for a premise, but very entertaining. I still liked it enough to recommend it to you. I gave it 5 stars because it was very entertaining.
Parnell Hall captures the imagination as he gets Private Investigator into some very dangerous situations. Stanley again falls foul of the law but manages to extricate himself in the end.
Starts as series of short stories but seams to come together in a pleasant reading experience
Humorous characters, good plot enough bad guys for several books. A quick read but a feel good book.
Would bar great to read on a plane trip or on the beach.
I am now a completely hooked fan! I love Stanley Hastings--what else can you say? He admits to all those little failings we all have--he knows himself.
I read it hearing the voice of a friend of mine who is from Queens--and it makes it all the better.
This is a very talented author and I am so please to see there are many books in his series--this is a character you want to know and read for a long time to come.
This entire mystery series (the 18 “Stanley Hastings Private Eye" mysteries) is written in the “Mickey Spillane” and “Earl Stanley Gardner” flavor; they are entertaining, but leave your wits along with your hat at the door. Like all other mystery stories, each of Parnell Hall’s stories, including this one, tries to engage the reader with a few unexpected twists and turns that weave a convoluted story while chasing through changing amateurish plot scenarios. Take them for what they are, they’re not Pulitzer material, but if you’re looking to disengage and relax with a short easy read they’ll help to pass time on a sleepless night.
